Characteristics of Successful Candidates
The program is aimed at entry-level professionals and recent graduates. Trainees must demonstrate top grades, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an international focus or a second language, and compelling professional experience through internships or other jobs.
Program Description
The program lasts approximately 12 months and sends the participants on three training rotations. Trainees spend four months in their target area getting to know their colleagues, the work environment, and the group's day-to-day business. Next, they spend four months on a cross-divisional assignment (i.e. Mercedes Benz Cars, Thomas Built Buses, etc.) and four months on a cross-functional assignment. One of these rotations must be an international assignment in order to foster ties between departments overseas and give the trainees a better understanding of Daimler's global operations. Throughout the rotations, trainees attend three week-long training modules abroad with other CAReer participants. At these training modules participants network with other trainees from multiple areas within Daimler AG.
After completing the rotations, trainees return to their home department. Returning with an organization-wide personal network, advanced product and operational knowledge, and diverse professional experiences, CAReer equips the participants with the tools to grow and succeed professionally
