What do you do?

I do a combination of finance and engineering. There are many technical aspects to master, but I enjoy seeing a combined view of the finance and engineering world.

What's your favorite part of working here?

There is always a different challenge, but they are fun challenges. I revel in technology challenges and see lots of different designs, but I like the business side as well. I get to do all this cool stuff that I can use one way or another and I'll probably get experience within the company in other areas. DTNA wants me to succeed and the traveling is great.

How are you innovating?

We assess the supplier market and hold them accountable for costs and then analyze the costs by using a certain rubric that can be used for the next few years. We work together to be leaders in the market, to be efficient. We embrace the industry and our skills and hold each other to a high standard.

There is productive planning here and we see difficult perspectives and challenges that you can't see anywhere else. This makes you look at the challenges in a different light and we then use our team mentality to follow through.

Why would you recommend Daimler Trucks North America?

At Daimler, I am part of making products that I am proud of. We make trucks that are useful and that make the world work. There is traveling available and the company looks for what you have to offer individually and as part of a team. It's a large enough company to allow many opportunities, but not too large that you get lost.

What do you do outside of work?

I really enjoy soccer! I've been playing for 25 years. Traveling has been a big part of my life as well. I lived in Santiago, Chile for 5 years and have recently visited Germany for 3 months as a part of the CAReer program. I'm involved with my church too.
