What do you do?
I recruit for all corporate positions in our Portland corporate headquarters: Engineering, IT, Finance, Purchasing, Warranty, Sales & Marketing.
What's your favorite part of working here?
Interacting with employees and potential candidates. There's a myriad of opportunities at Daimler Trucks North America. It's nice to find the right candidate who meets qualifications and has that personal connection with the job — who are truly happy finding the job where they can grow and develop. I love the challenge of bringing in top talent, then helping that individual grow to maximize their potential.
How are you innovating?
We're streamlining the process for moving up and within the organization. We value our employees' years of service and reward them with the flexibility to move in the direction their career takes them.
We're also leading the change in TOS (Truck Operating Systems)—a lean platform for day-to-day work. It helps us determine how to approach tasks and develop a tactical implementation plan (TIP). We're very strategic about how we solve problems within our organization.

What do you do outside of work?
I hunt deer and elk, and am an avid bass and salmon fisherman. I snowboard and take part in cattle drives when I can. I'm a bit of an urban cowboy.
